Laurel and Hardy





Known as Laurel and Hardy, was a famous comedy duo and one of the most popularcomedy teams of the cinema of the United States, in operation since the silents until the mid Golden Age of Hollywood.
In May 1954, Hardy had a myocardial infarction,. Laurel, however, suffered a stroke, with aslow convalescence. Hardy had a stroke on September 15, 1956, becoming paralyzed andbedridden for several months without talking and moving.
On August 7, 1957, Oliver Hardy died at age 65, Laurel did not attend her funeral because he was working.
Stan lived his last years in an apartment in the Oceana Hotel in Santa Monica. Jerry Lewiswas one of many comedians who visited him, died of a heart attack, aged 74.
The pair left longing for the fans like many other artists.



Heitor Villa Lobos .

It was a Brazilian composer and conductor, primarily responsible for the discovery of alanguage peculiarly Brazilian music, is considered the greatest exponent of the music of modernism in Brazil.
The first compositions of Villa-Lobos bear the mark of European styles of the turn of the century to the twentieth century, being mainly influenced by Wagner, Puccini, the high schoolFrench Romanticism Frank and soon after the Impressionists.
Born in Rio de Janeiro on March 5, 1987, and Falesceu in Rio de Janeiro on November 17, 1959.
Son of Noemia Monteiro and Raul Villa-Lobos Villa-Lobos, was encouraged to study earlybecause his mother wanted him to doctor. However, Raul Villa-Lobos, the composer'sfather.


Carmen Miranda







Maria do Carmo Miranda da Cunha, his real name, but we all know her as CarmenMiranda.
Singer, Actress, she was born in Marco Canavezes, a small town in Portugal on February 9, 1909.
A hard-working women and desired by men, Carmen Miranda began his career about the year 1930.
He married in March 17, 1947 with David Sebastian, and people say he took Carmen to consume alcoholic beverages of which she became addicted.
During a dance performance at the beginning of August in 1945, she fainted againrecovered and turned the presentation.
His body was found by her mother the next day at 10:30 am. She falesceu only 46 years.
She received many titles and was a great woman, not only for us Brazilians more to the world!





Charles Chaplin





It was one of the most famous actors of old, silent film comedian, he acted, wrote anddirected his own films, with the help of the French Max Linder.
He was born on April 16, 1889 in London, England. Their were also artists, working in musicals.
His father was named Charles Spencer Chaplin Sr., sang and acted, already his mother was named Hannah Chaplin was also a singer and lecterns.
His works were and are still Orim, movies good humor, creativity, and joy, and the work that was done well.
Their first tour took place in the United States in the years 1910 to 1912.
Its main and best known character was the Little Tramp, the people saw this character inhis second film which was released on February 7, 1914.
From that day on, he became a very important person in the world of artis and comedians.
Many, many works were done by him, in addition to films, he also created phrases, phrases that many people use as moral lesson.
Charles had 11 children and unfortunately he falesceu on Christmas Eve 1977, at age 88, he was facing health problems and also was already very tired.
Charles Chaplin today is one of the greatest comedians of the world and no one forgets it.

Thanksgiving day

The Day of Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the 4th Thursdayof November each year in Brazil.
it is usually celebrated in the United States and Canada and celebrated 2nd Monday of October.
The Day of Thanksgiving is celebrated as a day to thank "God" for the good things happening.
The first day of thanksgiving was celebrated by the settlers andIndians in the early 17th century.
for us the day of thanksgiving is a celebration more communal, religious or not.
Many people celebrate this day with their families and friends.



                              Pan american Games 
The first Pan American Games were held in Buenos Aires in 1951, and the games are held four years and are usuallyperformed in three regions of the continent: South America, Central and North.
Pan American Games that year were held in Guadalajara in Mexico between the 14th to October 30th.
The top three winners this year were: 1st place = United States, 2nd place= Cuba , 3rd place = Brazil.
The mascots of this year were:
Gavo - a species of plant (cactus), usually from Central America.He loves football, loves the green environmental areas, and want to enchant all who pass through Mexico.

Leo - a Mexican lion who loves boxing and weapons to defendthe city of Guadalajara.
Huichi - A deer born in Talpa, an indigenous region,
and it also preserves the traditions of the Huichol indigenouspeople.
This preserves the deer tribe and worship the fire.
